Support for Schools
The Rose Review (2009) highlighted the need for schools to have access to Specialist Dyslexia Teachers and for all staff to receive high-quality CPD to effectively support dyslexic learners. More recently, the Reading Framework (2023) and Writing Framework (2025) have reinforced the importance of early identification, targeted intervention, and evidence-informed practice for pupils who struggle with literacy.
As a qualified Dyslexia Specialist and experienced school leader, I work with schools to design and deliver bespoke, dyslexia-focused CPD that strengthens staff knowledge, improves classroom practice, and ensures pupils with literacy difficulties are identified and supported effectively. Through collaborative auditing, training, and action planning, I support schools to demonstrate clear impact on teaching, learning, and inclusion — aligning provision with Ofsted expectations and whole-school priorities.
If you are looking to strengthen your school’s literacy and dyslexia provision, evidence impact, and build staff confidence in supporting struggling readers and writers, get in touch to discuss how a bespoke programme can support your next stage of improvement.
Screening & tuition
I offer Irlen Screening and Dyslexia Screening for pupils in school, supporting early identification of literacy-related difficulties and potential barriers to learning. Screening outcomes are shared with schools and parents through a clear, detailed learning support report, outlining the learner’s strengths, areas for development, and practical, evidence-informed recommendations to support progress in the classroom and at home.
In addition, I provide specialist 1:1 and small-group tuition delivered in school during the school day. Sessions are tailored to individual pupil needs and aligned with school provision, supporting targeted intervention and measurable impact on literacy outcomes.

Training
When was the last time your teachers and support staff received high-quality, up-to-date training in dyslexia?
With an average of three or more pupils in every class presenting with dyslexic-type difficulties, it is essential that all staff have a clear understanding of what dyslexia is, how it may present in the classroom, and how to adapt teaching to meet these needs effectively.
I offer bespoke dyslexia-focused CPD and training for teachers and support staff, designed to build confidence, strengthen inclusive classroom practice, and support early identification and intervention. Working in partnership, we will embed dyslexia-friendly, classroom practice across your school, improving access to learning, reducing reliance on catch-up interventions, and ensuring pupils with literacy difficulties are supported to keep pace with their peers.

Leadership support

I offer coaching and professional support for new and experienced subject leaders and SENDCOs, enabling them to evaluate current practice, identify priorities, and design and implement clear, manageable action plans that drive whole-school improvement. All support and CPD are aligned with the Reading Framework (2023) and Writing Framework (2025) and are designed to strengthen leadership capacity in line with Ofsted expectations.
